A proud native of Houston, TX, I found Naturopathic Medicine through my own health struggles, specifically Endometrosis. Having experienced the healing power of nature myself, I decided to pursue a career that could serve others and empower my patients to take control of their health. I hold a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ (2016), where I received extensive training in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Botanical Medicine, Nutrition and Homeopathy. I also completed three years of General Medicine at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medical Center, with the last year of residency holding the position of Chief Resident. I'm currently adjunct faculty at SCNM where I supervise two student rotations and teach several didactic classes. I also hold a Master's of Science in Non-Profit Management (2009) and a Bachelor's of Arts from Our Lady of the Lake University in Political Science (2005) where I was chosen as a McNair Scholar, in San Antonio, TX. I recently graduated from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture and hold a Master's in Acupuncture (2019).
I absolutely LOVE being a Primary Care Doc, but I do have a special interest in chronic disease and infections along with Women's health concerns. I am light hearted, I try not to take myself too seriously, but I absolutely love Naturopathic Medicine and uncovering the medical puzzles of the bodies we live in. I also really love dogs (shoutout to my pugs Houdini and Tiki, click for their Insta page!), cooking, my family and friends.
I can't wait to work with y'all and transform your health! It is never a straight line to health but it is always worth it.
